Engro Women Network
Engro has a strong tradition of encouraging gender diversity in its workforce and supporting women career developments. Our women-specific policies and arrangements are meant to address peculiar issues that women face in corporate setups today. The WEAVE network is part of Engro’s initiative to ease up working environment for women by allowing them informal networking with other women employees.
The WEAVE network expands across Engro affiliates and subsidiaries and gives women a chance to share ideas and feminine wisdom.
Volunteerism
Engro encourages its employees to give back to communities that we work in. We have a centralized setup to arrange and facilitate volunteer initiatives on part of our employees. ‘Envision’ –Engro Volunteers in Service of the Nation, is a network where individual employees can discuss and design schemes for community development and implement it as part of the Engro Foundation.
Envision Initiatives are managed by a team of Engro employee volunteers working in the ‘Envision Council’. Engro encourages and values community development because it is known to foster teamwork, partnership and concern for other people. Envision activities give a chance to our employees to demonstrate and hone strong leadership qualities and to assert meaningful change in communities they care about.
Baithak
We celebrate our strong traditions of connecting together and sharing wisdom. ‘Baithak’ are special self-development sessions where Engro family can come together and sit in the company of leaders and distinguished persons that are invited to our offices. The open and informal sessions are the place to learn and get inspired from those who have made a mark in arts, literature, politics and humanitarian service. On days we have with us a singer or a poet, employees also get a chance to listen to a live gig or a mini-mushaira.
